If you are having trouble connecting, here are a few trouble shooting ideas:
- Make sure that your computer is plugged directly into the wall. If you are using a router, switch or some other device, try bypassing them and connect your computer directly to the wall. If this fixes the issue, then you will know the connection problem is in the router, switch, etc.
- Make sure that the only active connection is your local area network connection. Occasionally, Windows-based machines can default to a connection that they should not be using and prevent users from connecting properly. All other wireless connections should be DISABLED. To disable other connections, right click on them and click disable. Note: Disconnected is not the same as disabled.
- Make sure that your connection is not attempting to use a hard-set IP address. Your computer should be set to use a DHCP address.
